Friends of St Augustine’s Church

Welcome

St Augustine’s is Pugin’s ‘ideal Church’ constructed according to his ‘true principles of Christian architecture’. It is Pugin’s burial place and his lasting monument to the coming of Christianity to Anglo-Saxon England recalling St Augustine’s landing on the Thanet coastline in 597AD

The Friends of St Augustine’s was founded in 2011 to  support the restoration and repair of St. Augustine’s Church, Ramsgate and its associated buildings and to promote greater awareness of its architectural, historic and spiritual importance amongst both the Catholic community and the wider public.
